My Approach and work principles
Talking through difficult and painful issues that are troubling you, both from the past and in the present, often is not easy. Counselling can help you gain a better understanding of the difficulties you may be experiencing. You need to be understood, and things are seen from your point of view before opening up about issues that are bothering you. Trust is the key. My approach is to offer you a safe, secure and confidential space that is built on honesty, trust and sincerity.
My work principles are based on the person-centred core values of being empathic, congruent and non-judgemental. These are the backbone of my counselling approach, which sees each individual as a unique human being who has the ability to strive and achieve their full potential if they have the right environment and support. This puts the emphasis on the qualities of the therapeutic relationship. Research evidence shows that about 80% of a good therapeutic outcome relates to the quality of the client-therapist relationship.
I work in an integrative way by applying various therapeutic approach techniques to help you overcome issues you are experiencing. I will work within your pace, providing a safe and supportive space while you are exploring some of your deepest thoughts and feelings.
I aim to empower my clients to work towards a more satisfying personal growth and fulfilling life. I work with adults and young people on an individual basis within my private practice. I offer a supportive therapeutic relationship environment to help clients re-connect with their strengths and grow beyond any difficulties they are experiencing.

First contact and: what to expect
After receiving your enquiry—whether by email, message, or a missed phone call—I will respond as soon as possible. If we connect right away, you can have your free introductory session immediately.
For email enquiries, I will propose a date and time for your complimentary session, which can be held virtually or over the phone based on your preference. During this session, I will gladly answer any questions you may have. Sessions typically last 15 to 30 minutes.
Free exploratory session
Choosing the right counsellor is an important step. I offer a free, no-obligation 15–30-minute introductory session, either by phone or online, to help you decide if we’re a good fit.
During this session, we’ll explore what you’re looking for in counselling and how my therapeutic approach aligns with your needs. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and discuss the context of your therapy.
If you’re ready, we can schedule your first session. If you’d like more time to consider your options, you’re welcome to get back in touch whenever you feel ready.

During our first session—and any future sessions—you are welcome to ask questions about the therapy agreement, confidentiality, boundaries, or any other concerns. This is your space to explore what’s on your mind and address anything that’s bothering you.
Before the end of each session, we will discuss and confirm the date and time of your next weekly session to ensure continuity and convenience.
